TAHINI GINGER MARINATED SKIRT STEAK

Elevate some simple ingredients for a date night at home. The hardest part is making sure you give yourself time to marinate it. Marinate for 1-8 hours, but I suggest around 6-8 for a more flavorful steak. Serve this flavorful steak with Coconut Ginger Rice for a well rounded and delish meal fit for any of your loved ones.

Ingredients

· 1 skirt steak (approximately 1 pound)

· 1/2 cup Savoure Kitchen Tahini Ginger Dressing

· Scallions sliced on bias (ya know to make them pretty)

· Sesame seeds

Place steak and Tahini Ginger in covered dish or bag, fully coating meat with dressing. Let marinate for 6-8 hours. Grill or bake. We suggest grilling to a nice mid-rare to medium. Slice against the grain into thin strips. Sprinkle with scallions and sesame seeds. Serve with Coconut Ginger Rice, recipe below. Enjoy!

Coconut Ginger Rice

· 1 cup, white rice

· 1 cup canned coconut milk

· 1 cup broth (chicken or veggie)

· 1/2 inch of fresh ginger grated or finely minced

· 4 scallions sliced (just the white part, use the greens for garnish)

· good pinch of salt

· 1 Tbsp butter

In medium saucepan on medium heat, add drizzle of olive oil. Let heat slightly. Add ginger. Stirring so it does not burn. Once fragrant add rice and let toast 1-2 minutes. Add salt, coconut milk, broth. Cover and bring to boil. Once boiling reduce heat and continue to cook 15-20 minutes until all liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. Fluff with fork. Stir in butter. Serve with Tahini Ginger Marinated Skirt Steak.

Alternative

If beef isn't your thing, but salmon is you can swap one for the other. This is a great option if you decide last minute to make an simple yet elevated dinner. Marinate the salmon for approximately 20 minutes. Saute, grill or bake to desired doneness, we recommend a nice medium. I'm hungry just thinking about it. Enjoy!
